A lesson about Hair from a bald Monk

In Florence the other week I was listening to a podcast where this bald monk was talking about the concept of mastery. (Mastery is about full commitment to one practice.)

Which I felt resonated with me when I decided to only pursue hair for the rest of my life.

So, as I'm walking around the grounds of my hotel in the morning, birds tweeting, espresso in hand (Italian style, with 1 sugar)

I reflected on the idea of "Freedom of choice"

We've been conditioned to believe that Freedom comes from having options, right?

You hear it all the time,

"I want to keep my options open"

"Multiple streams of income"

You believe that having multiple things on at the same time, is the answer to Freedom.

But, is that really the case?

Are you really "Free" when spinning multiple plates?

Are you genuinely content with being mediocre in many avenues, rather than exceptional at any?

This podcast got me thinking that this "freedom to choose" concept is actually...

A lie.

I'm someone who's always had multiple things on,

Always had multiple plates spinning,

Yet I never felt fulfilled.

But when I decided to go after ONE thing,

When I decided to stop everything else,

I felt an immense wave of freedom.

Since going All-In, in one specific area (Hair), I've never felt MORE free.

Less distractions,

More progress,

Plus, even more people are trying to book education with me than ever before.

All because, I decided to focus on ONE thing, not multiple.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this:

Making the decision to go in one direction, will be the most freedom you'll ever experience.

But there's a catch,

You have to genuinely know that the one direction you choose, is definitely the only one.

If you still have something else going on, you won't experience it.

You have to FULLY commit to the one thing to experience the freedom it brings.

That's all for today mate,

If you like these emails, let me know on Instagram, otherwise, I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall sometimes.
